After being expected last week and then delayed until today, WordPress 2.5 has been delayed once again.
The semi-official word came from a post to their wp-testers mailing list from Lloyd Budd. When asked “Are you still shooting for today, or what?”, Lloyd replied:
No. There will be a beta/release candidate before 2.5 is released.

So, there you go. Sorry to disappoint.
Considering there are still 370 open tickets in the WP 2.5 trac, this wasn’t a huge surprise. We’ll let you know when we hear of another possible release date.

I would rather they left it until it was ready then rushing it. The current version of wordpress is still great.
Pete – I agree completely. While I’m disappointed that it’s not out yet, I’d much rather get a polished product.
I am using 2.3.3 and I am happy with it.
I hope new version is also good…
