Good point about them forcing a strict schedule with them.

Our county cut a lot of school bus routes last year. Ours used to come to our house, now it only comes halfway down the street. The bus driver said she's have no problem driving the extra 1/4 mile to help some of us out, but they have GPS in the buses so their routes can be monitored.

Anyhow, it'd be quite neat to have that out there, but wouldn't really make much of difference. Here's kind of what I'm talking about:

I agree, but then why'd we have a mini-fridge in our room? People won't decide to go to Disney based on that, either.

I still think they'll add it at some point, though it becomes less important every year. As 3G (and 3.5/4G) coverage improves, "internet everywhere" devices will become more and more common. Options like CLEAR are changing the game, too. Ultimately, maybe it's just not worth the effort/expense to install something that'll be largely obsolete in a few years.

Still, it'd be nice to have. :)

On #1, understand that Disney is THE destination. Providing wiFi would neither reduce costs nor increase attendance. It's not a deal breaker, people don't decide to go or not go to Disney based on WiFi availability. Kinda like in Vega, where some hotels charge $25/day for Internet.

Along those lines Disney doesn't have an 800 number (never have) . You want to talk to them, make a reservation, you pay for the phone call.

I guess we will just have to get used to bringing our wifi along at Disney and a lot of other places. I'm pretty sure Disney would rather have you out spending money in the parks than sitting in the room surfing the net. I like the idea of the GPS enabled busses. As long as they don't force too strick a schedule. I would hate to think that the drivers were being pushed to keep to a schedule.
