Often when we go out to eat, we’ll ask that they bring our daughter’s food out as soon as it’s ready, even if that’s well before ours is served. She tends to get bored rather quickly, and food is a great way to settle her down.
What I don’t understand is places that bring her food out last – sometimes by a few minutes. The last few times we’ve eaten at the Honeybaked Ham cafe, her sandwich was last. We’d get our two, but her food was nowhere around.
I guess it’s a perspective thing. If I didn’t have kids, it probably wouldn’t occur to me to make that a priority. Still, everything little thing a restaurant/server can do, the better.
