While most of you likely already use Google Analytics on your website, a new tool from Google called “Site Kit”, launching in early 2019, will make Analytics work even better for you.
For heavy Analytics users, this won’t be an important plugin, but for most of us it’ll help us better understand what’s happening on the site. The Site Kit plugin will pull together Google Analytics, Search Console, AdSense and PageSpeed Insights to help offer deeper understanding of all of those products on your site.
For example, Site Kit will allow you to do things such as navigate to a page on your site and quickly see stats for that specific page and it’ll show things such as publishing milestones and combined stats for recently published posts.
When Site Kit first launches next year, it will be in a private beta. You can apply to Google to ask to be part of that beta test. A link to sign up for that beta test and other info about this new plugin can be found in our show notes over at digitalcast.org.
