At left is a picture of the new parking lot at our local Target. They just renovated the entire store, and did quite a nice job on it. Then they resurfaced the parking lot and installed new cart corrals. The corrals are about the width of one parking space, so things should work out great.
Check out the picture, though. They striped the parking lot with angled parking, but then put the cart corrals in as if it was straight parking. I laughed out loud when I first saw it. Instead of each cart corral eating up exactly two spaces, they eat up four to the point of making them completely useless, and two more so that you need to have a small car and park very carefully.
A – The company that installed them has workers that are complete idiots…
B – The person in charge of installing them was going by the instructions (which were apparently wrong) even when it was obvious that they should stray from the original idea.
This picture is scheduled to be on ThisIsBroken.com (which is a GREAT site) tomorrow (Sept 9) so we’ll see if it shows up.
I haven’t been back to this particular Target in a few weeks, so it’s possible that they’ve corrected this. Gosh, I hope they’ve corrected it by now. Just look at how insane it is!
