Here’s a bit about what I wrote, read and learned over the past week. I hope you find it helpful!
Blog posts from the past week
- Books are a public service. Your content in most places will fade after a few years, but a book will last much, much longer.
- What caused the conversion? It’s getting increasingly difficult to determine what led to a website conversion, so this unpacks it a bit.
- The goal should be less, not more. It’s easy to write a long speech or give out a pile of documents to complete. It’s much more work to make them succinct.
- I’d rather listen to Steve Jobs. You can choose to engage with the trolls online, or spend time learning from the greatest leaders ever.
- Devil and the Deep Blue Sea. This short podcast series about the “satanic panic” of the 80’s was amazingly well done and I encourage you to give it a listen.
- What is the best process for reading books? Over the past few weeks I met two people that are some of the strongest readers that I’ve ever met, yet their approaches were 100% different. What’s the right answer?
Noteworthy articles that I read
- How to Let Claude Access Your Notion data via MCP. I’ve been using the Claude AI tool more recently, and this article shows how you can connect it with Notion to be able to have it pull data from there as part of its work.
- The Agentic Web: Your Website is About to Become a Workflow. In the coming months/years, there will be more and more AI agents and fewer humans visiting your website. Here’s what that might mean.
Books that I’m reading
- No big changes here. Still working through Nexus and The Art of Power.
Tech Rec
Stealing the idea from my friends at the Tech Talk Y’all podcast, I’ll drop in some tech recommendation every week as well.
- Superhuman email. I’ve used this app off and on over the years, and right now I’m all in. It’s essentially a different interface for Gmail, but it’s designed to be incredibly fast and efficient and I love it!
I hope you found some value in this. If you ever have questions, ideas, or disagreements regarding anything I write, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
