Blog posts from the past week
- Google AI Overviews are devouring search traffic: Google is changing very quickly, and it’s really starting to impact data that we’re seeing on websites.
- Listening while I read: I’m trying a new approach to reading and we’ll see if it sticks.
- Is human-level intelligence the goal of AI? Calling the goal of AI to be “human-level intelligence” is like hoping that airplanes eventually reach “bird-level flight”. It’s a different kind of goal.
- Your algorithm is who you are. You don’t like the posts showing up in your social media feeds? Change them.
- AI may become your only app. It seems a bit crazy to think right now, but at some point you may use your AI app and virtually nothing else.
- Say it again. “To be a great, great CEO, you have to enjoy telling the same stories again and again and again, hundreds of times.”

- A groundbreaking study shows kids learn better on paper, not screens. Now what? I’ve seen some studies on this over the years, and the approach they took with this one really seemed like a good way to find the differences.

- I finished reading “The Art of Power“.
- I also finished reading “Seven Brief Lessons on Physics“, which will go my “to reread again the future” list.
- I started reading “Building a StoryBrand 2.0“.
- I started reading “Never Eat Alone“.
