Here’s a bit about what I wrote, read and learned over the past week. I hope you find it helpful!
Blog posts from the past week
- The six week rule. “I have this thing called the six week rule, which is that if you tried to do something with AI more than six weeks ago, and it didn’t work, you have to try it again. Because every day, every month, the models are getting better.”
- The Challenger Sale by Matthew Dixon and Brent Adamson. Learning the “six steps of a world-class teaching pitch”.
- Your website analytics could get you sued. You’re likely running afoul of California’s “CIPA” law, but fortunately the fix is pretty simple.
- The 5am Club, by Robin Sharma. Take excellent care of the front end of your day, and the rest of your day will pretty much take care of itself. Own your morning. Elevate your life.
- “I can’t keep up with all of this AI stuff.” Yes, you can. A simple solution to help you stay on top of the latest in AI.
- Learn AI skills on Monday, not Saturday. “Sure, you can spend your Saturday on it, but actually, it’s worth your Monday.”
Books that I’m reading
I read for a total of 8:14 last week with the following:
- Finished “Super Nintendo“
- Finished “Alchemy“
- Continued “How to Measure Anything“
- Continued “The Art of Asking Better Questions“
- Started “Forging a Sacred Weapon“
Tech Rec
Stealing the idea from my friends at the Tech Talk Y’all podcast, I’ll drop in some tech recommendation every week as well.
- Belkin MagSafe 2-1 Charger. This is a great little charger that sits on my desk, that any recent phone (iPhone or Android) can attach to via MagSafe and float and charge. It also has a Qi pad on the back for charging Airpods or similar headphones wirelessly. It’s simple, but very effective.
I hope you found some value in this. If you ever have questions, ideas, or disagreements regarding anything I write, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
