Consumption can be fun. If you just had a super fun meal, or you finally got that new car, you should absolutely share it so we can all be part of the enjoyment! Generally speaking, though, bragging about consumption (which seems to be increasingly common) isn’t worth much.
In a recent episode of the Founders podcast, where host David Senra was chatting with Spotify founder Daniel Ek, they got onto the topic of consumption vs production. David’s words, from the show:
“This is something I talk about all the time. I think sometimes we have a sick culture where people, especially on social media, they glorify consumption. It’s like, I don’t care what you consume. I care what you produce.”
If we’re good friends, I want to see a bit of your consumption, but the focus should be on production. The internet has made creating content incredibly easy, so what have you done with it lately?
Do you have a great podcast, or photos, or a book, or something else that’s worth sharing? Be proud of it, and leave a comment below so we can all check it out!

OK. I have something. It’s not in your language, and it might not be exactly what you had in mind. But it’s new, and I don’t think anyone else has done it yet. It also has a connection to Spotify. It’s my new domain: kuschelbock.com, which roughly translates as “cuddly buck”. The content: Intellectual red deer commenting on the greatest playlist of all time.. It’s free. And I’m actually proud of it.
OK. Your offer was obviously not serious. Good luck in the future…
What do you mean by “not serious”? It seems you made a great site.
Sorry, this is very uncomfortable for me. Too many windows open, lack of concentration… Sorry, sorry, sorry.
